In 2012 Borlie Mechanical Contracting moved into our New office and Fabrication Facility. Our 7,500sf Fabrication area is equipped with the latest tooling to facilitate cutting , grooving, welding, and threading all pipe and mechanical systems needed for our customers. The fabrication allows our firm to complete complex projects, efficiently, neatly, and “ON TIME” for our growing list of customers.
In our 2500sf office space we have a conference room, reception, lounge copier/server room, offices, break room and estimating department to serve our customers.
Our reputation for performing outstanding mechanical services, reflects the professionalism of our management team and our field staff of highly trained and skilled personnel, comprised of Union-UA plumbers, pipe fitters, welders, operating engineers, millwrights and laborers. Serving the Maryland, West Virginia, and Virginia vicinity for 45 years T.A. Gorman Inc. has established itself as a leader in the industry.
With the passing of the President Thomas Gorman III in 2009. The estate of TAG III, presented Stephen L. Borlie, a Vice President of 12 years with the company, the opportunity to purchase available assets of T.A. Gorman, Inc.
November 2009 Borlie Mechanical Contracting, LLC. Was formed to carry on the tradition of quality mechanical contracting established by Borlie Mechanical Contracting.
T.A. Gorman, Inc. Mechanical Contractors was incorporated in 1962, by Tom Gorman, III and wife, Betty. Our first project, Job #56401, was the plumbing and heating renovations of two, quite old row homes on Paca Street in downtown Baltimore. The company rapidly gravitated to the industrial and heavy commercial industries marketplace, offering the services of plumbing, heating, air conditioning and process piping. Our clientele base includes most all of the area Fortune 500 companies, especially those in the manufacturing, power generation and chemical businesses.
